What Is The DANB RHS Exam? 

DANB's Radiation Health and Safety Exam (RHS) is a 80 question nationally recognized dental radiology exam for dental radiographers to show they know how to safely take dental radiographs. You don't need any special qualifications to take the exam, and in many states, passing it is needed to get a license for taking dental radiographs. For more info on the RHS Exam, go to DANB.ORG.

How Do I Register?

To sign up for our DANB RHS Review course, select Sign Up Now. You'll get an email with a link to join the course. You don't need any special requirements to join! However, we recommend having at least 6 months of experience working in a dental clinic or are a recent graduate from a dental assisting program before joining.   • What are the eligibility requirements for enrolling in the dental radiology review course?
    There are no requirements, however It's preferred students have at least 6 months training in a dental setting OR be a graduate of a dental assisting or dental radiography program.
  • How long does the dental exam review course typically last?
    Students have access to the course 3 weeks or 21 days. During this time the students can work at their own pace and participate in instructor guided discussions and Q&A sessions.
  • What is covered in the dental exam review course?
    All the components listed on the DANB RHS blueprint is covered in the course.
  • Is financial aid available?
    No, not at this time.
  • Will I pass the DANB RHS exam if I take this course?
    There are no guarantees however students that complete all the components of the course and follow the layout as intended have a high success rate of passing.
  • Do I get a book?
    No, everything you need is included in the course.
  • Is the RHS Exam Fee included in the cost of the course?
    No
  • Is there a lot of homework?
    Our online courses are self guided and intended to assist you in acquiring a dental radiology license and with your study plans to pass the DANB RHS exam.
  • What Does a Dental Radiographer Do?
    A dental radiographer exposes dental radiographs for the dentist to evaluate for patient treatment.
  • Do I need a computer to participate in the course?
    No, however it is strongly suggested you use a PC, Laptop or Tablet for the best user experience.
  • Are there any prerequisites to joining the dental radiology program?
    Yes, students must have a valid state ID and a high school diploma or GED.
  • How long is the dental radiology program?
    Our dental radiology program is eight weeks.
  • Will you help me find a job after my course?
    Yes, we offer referrals and resources to assist with job placement.
  • Is Abaci Dental Solutions Radiology Program Accredited?
    Abaci Dental Solutions Radiology Program is approved and registered with the Indiana State Department of Health and an approved program with the Department of Workforce Development.
  • Do you offer financial assistance?

  • Are there online technology requirements?
    Yes, you will need access to internet and have a computer or tablet to access and submit assignments.
  • What is your refund policy?
    Cancellations must be in writing and received no later than (3) business days before the program start date, for a full refund minus a $150 registration fee. Review our Terms and Condition for more information.
  • Do you assist with finding a dental office to complete the clinical skills?
    Yes, we provide assistance with finding a dental office in your area to satisfy your clinical skills. Students also have the option to use a dental office of their choice.
  • Does the dental radiology program provide dental assistant training?
    No, Abaci Dental Solution Dental Radiology program covers dental radiology training only.
  • Can I participate in the program from any State?
    Yes, however currently we only provide permits to Indiana residents. Individuals participating in our program and successfully pass will receive a certificate of completion. Verify your states requirements for becoming a licensed dental radiographer by visiting DANB.ORG or checking your states dental practice act.   • Can I work in a dental office with only dental radiography training?
    Yes, depending on the state where you reside. Visit DANB.ORG to verify your states requirements. If you have questions email us at info@abacidental.com.
